Frequently Asked Questions

In order for one to gain admission into Universities in Malawi, one has to meet entry requirements set by the National Council for Higher Education. For entry into a public university, one has to apply through the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), and for entry into a private university one applies directly to the relevant university.
Financing for higher education can either be through private funding or financing through loans that are administered by the Higher Education Students' Loans and Grants Board (HESLGB).
Currently, the Higher Education Students' Loans and Grants Board only accommodates for generic students in Public as well as accredited Private Higher Education Institutions.
